Our Team

Garrett grew up in Stewartville, Minnesota, where his passion for sports, especially hockey, was sparked on backyard rinks and family games. He graduated high school online while playing junior hockey throughout the NA3HL, eventually earning a spot to play college hockey for the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos. He finished his final collegiate season in February and found is way to Naperville Illinois where he is training to play minor professional hockey while owning/operating Coach G Hockey. He appreciates the dedication, joy and friendships the sport creates. 

For over 20 years, Garrett has played hockey under many notable high-level coaches, and now plans to share his knowledge and experience with boys and girls focusing on skill development and character growth. His guiding principle: " If I'm hard on you, it's not because I don't like you. It's because I want to see you succeed." 

Through Coach G Hockey, Garrett strives to give back to the game that shaped his life. His goal is to inspire young athletes to embrace the excitement of hockey and the lifelong bonds it builds, while helping the Chicagoland and surrounding areas reclaim it's hockey tradition.
